This Australia Day, Mader Group was proud to support and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through a gala of music, dance, art and culinary delights at the 2019 Birak Concert.

Produced by Phil Walleystack's Aboriginal Shows and Productions, in conjunction with the City of Perth, this vibrant event unified some of Australia’s most talented artists in an effort to raise awareness for suicide prevention.

Hosted at the Supreme Court Gardens, Mader Group was proud to be a community sponsor of the event’s Youth Zone, a precinct of stalls designed to provide a fun and open environment to highlight the abundance of opportunity available to today’s youth.

The term Birak is used to describe the beautiful Nyoongar season - the balmy summer months of December and January. During this time, the Moodjar tree flowers in bright orange. In celebration of this important season and featuring the best in dance and song, the Birak Concert promises fun for the wider Western Australian community.
