As the mining sector continues to ramp up and demand for specialist skills increases, both private and public organisations are realising the vital importance of equipping our youth with the knowledge and skills to fill occupational gaps.

In the face of a looming skills shortage, it is critical that Australia increases its focus on supporting our mining and civil superstars of tomorrow to facilitate domestic growth and remain competitive globally.

Paving the way for others in the industry, is up and coming mining contractor, Mader Group. Mader Group’s Perth workshop recently donated three diesel engines to assist the Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Apprentice Program at Thornlie Tafe and accepts an intake of apprentices annually.

Since 2005, Mader Group has steadily forged a reputation as the ‘go-to’ mechanically minded experts in the industry and is a known entity for their commitment to empowering communities and lessening educational inequality.

Engaging in corporate social responsibility initiatives across the globe, Mader Group was recently shortlisted as a finalist in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility for the 2018/19 AIM WA Pinnacle Awards.

In the past 12 months, the Company has seen unprecedented growth, doubling its workforce throughout the major mining regions of Australia, Asia, Africa and America.
